Actually, voting will be held in the district on April 26 under the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024. Under the guidance of Collector Deepak Aggarwal, an appeal is being made through various mediums to all the voters to cast their vote on the voting day. In this series, the district administration has taken a special initiative and is giving information through video call to the voters who have gone out of their village of residence for various reasons or have migrated for labour.
To motivate them to vote, information is being given through video call and an appeal is being made to come home and vote on the voting day. Village wise voters who have gone out are being identified and invited to vote through video calling by BLO, Anganwadi worker and Gram Panchayat Secretary. Along with this, an appeal is also being made to ensure participation in this great festival of democracy by voting.

Bhagirathi Sahu, resident of village Barbantha, along with his family is out of the village due to some reason. The Panchayat Secretary of village Barbantha made a video call to him and appealed to him to come to his village Barbantha to vote on 26th April. He also appealed to bring other voter members of his family along and get them casted.
Similarly, by making a video call to the villagers from two dozen villages including Barigaon, Gangrajpur, Tikrapara, Gohrapadar, Khairjhiti, Mainpur Kala, Bhejipadar, Kokadi, Amlipadar, Budgeltappa, Madanpur and Phulkarra, they were asked to reach their villages by the evening of 25th April and cast their vote on 26th April. An appeal has been made.
