On the same lines, now the police has adopted the use of pamphlets to convey its appeal to the Maoists. The district police has pasted leaflets against Naxalites at various places in the Naxal affected villages and forests of the district. In a way, in the form of pamphlets, the police has issued letters with names of Naxalites, which have been pasted at various places in villages and forests.
According to the information, the police has issued separate pamphlets in the names of top Naxal leaders, DVC commander Lokesh Salam, Hidma, Rita, Mangesh and others. Through pamphlets, they have explained to the Maoists the rehabilitation policy of the government and the importance of democracy and have appealed to them to surrender, leave the path of bloodshed and join the mainstream. Like a well-wisher, the police has also explained the ill effects of violence to the Naxalites. Called upon the Red Army to come to the path of peace. In the villages and forests of various police station areas including Sitagaon, Madanwada, Aundhi of Manpur block, the police have pasted many such leaflets on platforms, shops, trees and walls, in which the mobile numbers of police officers have been written. District Police Captain IPS Ratna Singh has described these pamphlets as an effective step to make the Maoists move towards the mainstream.
