Shikhil Byohar, Bhopal: The Election Commission has made special preparations in Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Special arrangements have been made keeping in mind the increasing voting percentage in the state and the elections to be held in the summer season. According to the decision of the Commission, now there will be one polling center for every one and a half thousand voters.
The Election Commission has taken this decision in view of the increasing voting percentage and long queues in the assembly elections. Auxiliary polling stations were created when there were more than 1550 voters in the assembly elections. The Chief Electoral Officer has instructed all the District Election Officers to assess and send the proposal for assistant polling station. At present there are 65,423 polling stations in the state. 103 support centers were set up during the assembly elections. More than 500 auxiliary polling stations can be created in the state for the Lok Sabha elections.
