During this, the Union Minister said that non-BJP states are not doing mining. He said that a report is being prepared regarding landslides in Joshimath, Ladakh and Kashmir also. Joshi said that mining has a big role in boosting the economy. 1 percent mining growth is expected to lead to 1.4 percent industry growth. Mining has a share of .09 percent in GDP.

Joshi said that under the leadership of PM Modi, we have resolved to increase it to 2.4 percent. Reports from 35 offshore mineral blocks have been submitted to the State. Along with this, 53 GSI reports have been submitted to the states, reports of 26 critical minerals have also been submitted. Joshi said that the mineral reports submitted to the states have been asked to be activated by auctioning them as soon as possible.
Joshi also said that Madhya Pradesh has become the top performing state by auctioning the maximum number of 29 mineral blocks in the last year. To make mining transparent, the process of continuously updating ASI in the public domain every month has also been started. Along with this, the process of promoting junior miners has also been started to increase the exploration of critical minerals in the country. He said that only the Government of India will auction critical minerals.
MP gets first place in mineral block auction
Let us inform that the awards for the auction held between 2022–23 were announced in the meeting of Mining Ministers. MP stood first in the country in terms of mineral block auction. Madhya Pradesh auctioned 29 mining mineral blocks. Chhattisgarh stood second with the auction of 20 mineral blocks. Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh stood at third position.
