The Congress leadership on Friday distanced from technocrat-cum-Indian Overseas party chairman Sam Pitroda’s statement where he questioned rationale of the build-up for the Ram temple inauguration.
“Sam Pitroda’s statement is not an official statement of Congress. He doesn’t speak on behalf of the Congress. It may be his personal view,” said Jairam Ramesh, AICC communication-in charge.
He also sought to end speculations on whether the Congress leaders will attend the Ram temple inauguration at Ayodhya. Ramesh said while party president Mallikarjun Kharge and CPP chairperson Sonia Gandhi have been invited, the party l has not taken any decision so far on the matter yet.
