Income Tax Department said that this is a big achievement of the department. Till date, more than 8 crore income tax returns have been filed for the assessment year 2023-24. The Income Tax Department said that a total of 7,51,60,817 taxpayers had filed income tax returns in the assessment year 2022-23. The Income Tax Department has thanked all the taxpayers and tax professionals for achieving this achievement.
