Raipur. The services of more than 12 hundred aldermen (nominated councilors) of urban bodies of the state have been terminated with immediate effect. The Ministry of Urban Administration and Development Department has issued an order in this regard.
Let us tell you that during the Congress rule, Congress Party leaders were appointed aldermen in Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayats. These appointments were made about two years ago. Which have been abolished with immediate effect as soon as the BJP government comes to power.
