MP News: 2 accused who robbed a woman arrested, purse and money seized

Ashutosh Tiwari, Rewa. Police arrested two accused who committed robbery with a woman in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. Looted goods have also been seized from the accused. At present, the police have registered a case against the accused and are busy taking further action.

Beena Jaiswal, resident of Hazari intersection of the city, had lodged a complaint of robbery at the City Kotwali police station. In the complaint, she had told that she was going to the market with her sister-in-law Jayanti Jaiswal on Wednesday evening. During this time, two unknown criminals looted the purse from behind near the Jain temple and ran away. There was money and mobile in the purse. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case and started searching for the accused.

The police raided the hideouts of the accused by blocking all places in the city. CCTV footage of the incident spot was scrutinized, in which accused Ashiq Khan alias Rahat was seen snatching the purse from the woman. On the information of the informer, the police surrounded and arrested the accused Rahat who was roaming near Ghoghar School.

During interrogation, the accused admitted to carrying out the robbery along with Raseeb. Mobile and the looted money have been recovered from the accused. At present, the police is busy interrogating the accused regarding other incidents.
