ILT20: Naveen ul Haq banned, became famous due to fight with Virat Kohli in IPL…

Sports Desk. It seems that Afghanistan’s fast bowler Naveen ul Haq has a deep connection with controversies. Only when one case is resolved, another one begins. One of the few incidents that happened on the field during the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) was one that made Naveen famous all over the world overnight. Actually, during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Naveen clashed with Indian star batsman Virat Kohli. The incident on the field between the two gained a lot of attention on social media. But, during the Cricket World Cup (ICC Cricket World Cup 2023) last month, Naveen met Kohli and ended the matter.

Let us tell you that Naveen has now been banned for 20 months. This ban has been imposed by the International T20 League (ILT20). The reason behind this is said to be that Naveen has made a mistake regarding the agreement with Sharjah Warriors. He had signed an agreement with the Sharjah team for Season-1 of ILT20. After this, when his extension notice was sent for the second season, he refused to sign it. Naveen, who played for Sharjah Warriors in the first season of ILT20 in January-February this year, was sent a retention notice on the same terms and conditions as per the player agreement terms. After this, when he did not sign, the matter reached the ILT20 board.

The Naveen-Sharjah Warriors case was heard separately by the ILT20’s three-member disciplinary committee (League CEO David White, head of security and anti-corruption Colonel Azam and Emirates Cricket Board member Zayed Abbas). And also examined the evidence. On the basis of this, it gave its final decision to ban Naveen for 20 months. David White, CEO of ILT20, said: “We are not proud to make this announcement, but all parties are expected to adhere to their contractual commitments and recognize that non-compliance may result in loss to the other party.” There may be loss.
