On the instructions of Collector Rajat Bansal, on the instructions of Collector Rajat Bansal regarding the continuous complaints being received in the works of Jal Jeevan Mission and the slow progress of construction works, today Additional Collector Rajendra Gupta reached various villages to take stock of the works done under the mission. During this, he reached Bhatagaon (Deori) and Saloni villages of Balodabazar development block and observed the quality of work including water tank under construction, chlorinator room, running water supply, running water supply in government buildings, running water supply in homes. During the inspection, Mr. Gupta found slow pace of construction works, lack of supply of running water in government buildings like Anganwadi, schools, gram panchayats. Along with this, incomplete construction of main valve chamber and installation of machines in chlorinator room has not been done. Due to which, on the basis of the investigation report today, the Collector has issued a show cause notice to PHE’s EE Manoj Thakur and Balodabazar Division’s SDO Ramkumar Dhruv and has been asked to submit the reply within 3 days. During the inspection, Mr. Thakur told that Bhatagaon water tank has 45 K.L. Capacity is built. Due to which water is scheduled to be supplied to 143 houses, but machines have not been installed in the chlorinator room by the concerned contractor. Along with this, 10 days of construction work related to valves is remaining, due to which the water tank could not be started. During the said inspection, Deputy Collector Anshul Verma, EE Manoj Thakur and SDO Ramkumar Dhruv along with the concerned contractor, officers, employees, local public representatives of Public Health Engineering Department were present.
