Due to the continuous efforts of Chhattisgarh Government, finally four Naxal-affected villages of remote Vananchal of Sukma district have been illuminated with electric light. The houses of 653 families living in these five villages have been illuminated. These five villages are Silger, Kolaiguda, Kamarguda, Nagalgunda, and Karigundam, which were deprived of electricity till now. The villagers are very happy that electricity has reached these villages. His dream of years has come true. It is worth mentioning that according to the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the work of providing electricity to the villages and homes of the remote Vananchal of the state is being done on priority for the last four years. Chhattisgarh Government’s Electricity Bill Half Scheme, Chief Minister’s Infrastructure Development Scheme, Chief Minister’s Majratola Electrification Scheme, Chief Minister’s Urban Electrification Scheme, along with getting a new base for electricity infrastructure, consumers have got relief from exemption in electricity bill. Significantly, Kolaiguda, Kamarguda, Nagalgunda, and Karigundam villages of Sukma district have been Naxal-affected, there was a time when these villages were difficult to reach, due to which the people of the villages and villages were also deprived of the benefits of government schemes and programs. Due to the policy of development, trust and security of Chhattisgarh government, winds of change have started blowing in the entire Bastar region. There is a positive change in the environment and life of the people there. Along with government missionaries, the participation of general public has increased in the development and construction works, due to which every area of Bastar has started progressing rapidly by joining the main stream of development.
