Collector Mr. P.S.Elma again instructed the nodal officers for all the procurement centers in today’s deadline meeting to inspect the concerned procurement center every Saturday and submit the report compulsorily to the Food Department. This will facilitate in systematic procurement of paddy from farmers in the current Kharif marketing year. In the meeting, the collector also took the updated information about paddy procurement done so far. It was informed that so far 48 thousand 438 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in the district. Also, 187 millers have been registered for custom milling. This includes 100 Arwa and 87 Usna millers. Paddy is being lifted directly from the procurement centers by the millers. So far, for the lifting of 46 thousand 273 metric tonnes of paddy, D.O. has been issued. In lieu of this, 5 thousand 602 metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers. It was also informed that a total of 76 thousand one metric tonne paddy has been lifted for Dhamtari and other districts including Balod, Gariaband, Kanker, Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund and Mohla-Manpur. D.O. has been issued. In lieu of this, till now 10 thousand 679 metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers. The collector said that continuous lifting of paddy should be ensured from the procurement centres. He said in strict words that all sub-divisional revenue officers should keep a close watch on illegal paddy transport and concerned officers should maintain vigilance in the check posts built in the border areas of the district. In the current Kharif marketing year, apart from purchasing paddy at the support price, the Collector stressed on ensuring advance lifting of fertilizers for the Rabi season. He said that there should be no shortage of fertilizers for the farmers, for this it is necessary that the farmers should lift the fertilizers in advance. Along with this, the farmers should be encouraged by the Agriculture Department, District Registrar Cooperative Society, Nodal Officer Cooperative Societies for the lifting of vermicompost along with chemical fertilizers. In the meeting, the collector gave strict instructions to all the subdivisions to settle the encroached land in all the urban areas soon. Officers gave revenue. Under door-to-door campaign, Patwaris asked to contact the account holders at home and resolve revenue cases and update it in Bhuinya portal. Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Dhamtari Dr. Vibhor Agarwal said that out of total 70 thousand 643 account holders in Amdi, Bhotali, Chest, Bathena, Dhamtari, Koliyari and Rudri of Dhamtari section, six thousand 538 account holders were directly contacted by Patwaris. In this, 870 caste certificates, 210 false nominations, five RBC 6-4 and 121 other cases were found. The collector praised it a lot. In the meeting, while reviewing department-wise pending cases within the time limit, the Collector directed the officers to resolve them quickly and with quality.
