Camps will be set up for health check-up of animals in Gauthans

Camps will be organized for health check-up of animals in all the active Gauthans of Raipur district. In these camps, medicines will be given to the animals in case of illness as per the requirement. Along with this, vaccination will also be done. In the district, soon fish farming by women’s groups will also be started in the identified Gauthans through bio-block method. For this, women groups will also get financial assistance from the Mineral Trust Fund. Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure reviewed the government schemes and programs in the meeting of the officers of Agriculture and its allied departments Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Fisheries and Co-operative Bank in the Collectorate meeting this morning. He gave instructions to the officers to benefit more and more farmers from the schemes related to farming. The Collector gave instructions to make available seeds, food and medicines in sufficient quantity to the farmers during the Rabi season. In the meeting, the CEO of the Zilla Panchayat. Under One District One Product, papaya cultivation will be done in the district- Under One District One Product program, hybrid papaya will be cultivated in about three hundred hectare area in Raipur district. For this, the Collector Dr. Bhure gave instructions to the officers of Horticulture Department in the meeting today to identify suitable cluster and group of farmers. Hybrid plants will be given to the farmers for the cultivation of papaya. Government help will also be given to the farmers for the preparations required for farming, arrangements for food, medicine, irrigation etc. The Collector has already estimated the average production of papaya and instructed the officers to start preparing for it, elaborate market and arrangement for selling etc. Collector Dr. Bhure also asked to motivate the farmers to increase the area under horticulture crops in the district. In the meeting, the Collector directed the officers of Livestock Development Department to make special efforts for milk production along with setting up community barricades in Gauthans. The Collector, while simplifying the process of giving agricultural loans for fisheries and animal husbandry, gave instructions to the officers of the cooperative bank to provide loans to more and more farmers. Dr. Bhure also directed to accelerate cage culture activities to promote fish farming and to reserve 5% of the area in large reservoirs and ponds for setting up cages.
