In the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee held in the Collectorate Hall today under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha MP and Disha Committee Chairperson Smt. Specially directed the officers on construction of toilets in public places for the convenience of women. He talked about conducting Anganwadi according to time for better operation of nutrition campaign. He directed for strict action against the Anganwadi workers and assistants who are continuously absent. For solid waste management in rural areas, women’s groups can implement door to door garbage collection and waste management as a livelihood, appealed to the public representatives to cooperate with the administration. He said that toilets should be constructed for the convenience of women in public places, big markets. Similarly, he directed to ensure quality in road construction and maintenance work, to ensure timely payment to workers under MGNREGA. Where it is difficult to provide banking facility, then through BC Sakhis, this facility should be available to the general public. He also inquired about the compliance of the instructions given in the meeting of the previous Disha Committee. During this, Parliamentary Secretary and Baikunthpur MLA Smt. Ambika Singhdeo, Sarguja Development Authority Vice President and Bharatpur Sonhat MLA Shri Gulab Kamro, Director CGMSC and Manendragarh MLA Dr. Vinay Jaiswal, District Panchayat President Smt. Renuka Singh, Vice-President Shri Vedanti Tiwari and people’s representatives of district and district panchayat were present. Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh gave brief information about the important schemes, programs and health facilities of the government operated in the district and the upcoming action plan to the officials of the concerned department. through in the meeting. Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Mrs. Namrata Jain informed about the works and innovative efforts being done by the administration in the district. In the meeting, review of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission- Rural, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, National Health Mission, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan , Mid-Day Meal, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (House-Urban for All), Swachh Bharat Mission Urban, National Rural Drinking Water Program, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Irrigation Scheme, Integrated Watershed Management Program, Eklavya Vidyalaya, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, National Social Assistance Program , Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Scheme run by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Digital India etc. were reviewed. In the meeting of District Road Safety Committee, Mrs Mahant’s instructions, ensure that road safety rules are followed, suggestion of duty of women teachers in school bus to help the girl child, MP Mrs Mahant in the meeting of District Road Safety Committee Parliamentary constituency Instructions were given to ensure compliance of safety rules. He said that action should be taken against those who violate the rules. Discussing the safety of school children, he said that school buses and drivers should be checked and the school management should also be directed to take necessary precautions. Collector Mr. Langeh said that work is being done in this direction by the District Transport and Education Department. He suggested in the meeting that to help the girl child, the duty of women teachers can be put in the school bus.
