State government committed to provide benefit of 32 percent reservation to tribals: Chief Minister Shri Baghel

The representatives of tribal society met Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here this evening and discussed the issue of reservation in detail. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Baghel assured the MPs, ministers, MLAs and public representatives of the tribal society that our government is committed to provide the benefit of 32 percent reservation to the tribals in Chhattisgarh and all necessary steps are being taken for this. During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Baghel clearly conveyed the intention of the government and said that there will be no loss of any kind to the reserved category in the state, it is our top priority. First of all we will go to the Supreme Court regarding this matter. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that our government is working fully consciously to follow the rights given in the Constitution for the interests and protection of tribals. It is our clear intention that all the rights provided to the Scheduled Tribes by the Constitution will be protected. In this regard, the government is taking all necessary steps by taking suo motu cognizance, so the tribal society need not be worried at all. While discussing with the delegation of tribal society, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that our government in the state is committed for the welfare of the tribals and their upliftment. Our main goal is to take the tribal society forward in the state and connect them with the main stream of the society. He said that as soon as our government is formed in the state, continuous work is being done for the upliftment of the tribals. Keeping in mind the interest of the tribals, whatever necessary steps will be taken in this matter, it will be taken.
