The working hours of various institutions of Health and Family Welfare Department have been fixed. In compliance of which the time of outpatient department and indoor services in Komaldev District Hospital Kanker, affiliated to Government Medical College, has been fixed from October 14. The Dean of the Government Medical College has informed that the outpatient department will not be stopped from 08 am to 02 pm or till testing of all the registered patients and under any circumstances before 1.30 pm. All the specialists, ward in-charge doctors will take regular rounds in the morning and evening and give instructions as necessary. If there is a continuous holiday for two days in a week, then on one of the holidays (except Sunday), the OPD will be open from 09 AM to 11 AM, i.e. regular OPD will not be closed for two consecutive days in the hospitals. On Sundays and other government holidays, all specialists, ward in-charge doctors in college hospitals will take rounds in their wards from 09 am to 9.30 am. Similarly, any patient coming after the prescribed time period for the treatment of outpatients in indoor services (even if he has come for treatment of minor illness, symptoms) shall not be denied examination and treatment. Doctors doing duty from 08 am to 02 pm will be off duty on the same day in the evening and doctors doing duty from 02 pm on that day will be off duty. After night duty, doctors will get off duty only on the next day. Doctors doing emergency duty will take a round of wards other than emergency medicine, if necessary, call the subject specialist and show them to the patients. The tests, investigations (pathology X-ray, sonography etc.) of various cases will be held from 08 AM to 02 PM. After 1.30 pm only samples of emergency patients will be taken.
