On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a two-day essay, quiz and improvised speech competition organized at Khadi and Village Industries Board, Gandhi Bhawan, Keyur Bhushan Memorial Complex, Kankalipara culminated. For the last two years, such competitions are being organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Board to further the ideology and principles of Gandhiji and for house-to-house Khadi. This time the competition was based on the entire philosophy of life of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The winners were awarded by the chief guest Mr. Girish Pankaj, Mr. Brajkishore Prasad and Ms. Kalpana Choudhary. Renowned litterateur Mr. Girish Pankaj as the chief guest said that his childhood was spent selling Khadi’s clothes and he has resolved to wear Khadi for life. He said that today in the 21st century, women are also wearing Khadi clothes, which shows that the people of India are following the path shown by the spontaneous Gandhiji. In the program, the famous Gandhian Shri Brajkishore Prasad said that the most relevance of Gandhiji is visible in the lives of the students. The way every Gandhiji changed his personality with the passage of time, in the same way every student should mold his personality in the interest of the country. Ms. Kalpana Choudhary, daughter of freedom fighter present in the program said on this occasion that Gandhi ji wanted to break the social structure and by doing so he wanted to connect women with him in which he was completely successful.
