Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey launched the state-wide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

Agriculture, Water Resources, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey duly launched the state-wide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in a program organized at his residence office here today. On this occasion, Minister Shri Choubey flagged off the Swachhta Rath for public awareness in the state. This Swachhta Rath will visit Haat-markets and villages from 15th September to 2nd October to make people aware about cleanliness in the state. On this occasion, Director of Swachh Bharat Mission, Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Raipur, Mr. Ravi Mittal, all State Advisors, Swachh Bharat Mission and other dignitaries were present. It is worth mentioning here that like every year, this year also ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign is being run in the entire state from 15th September to 02nd October 2022. Its objective is to bring public awareness about cleanliness in the villages. Under the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan, from September 15 to October 02, 2022, the garbage collected in all the villages will be cleaned through Shramdaan. Under this, collective labor will be done for cleaning public places, construction of soak pit, construction of compost pit, plastic waste collection, door-to-door garbage collection, in which participation will be ensured by the local public representatives, officials and villagers. . It is worth mentioning that under Swachh Bharat Mission Rural Phase-II, 1,14,871 individual toilets, 9382 community toilets, 302 biogas plants and 2 faecal sludge management systems have been set up in the state. At the same time, waste management work has been done in 5135 villages and liquid waste management in 6872 villages, due to which 4193 villages have become ODF plus. Under the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan, various activities will be organized from the district headquarters to the villages and action will also be taken to declare the villages which have come under ODF plus category.
