Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to Munshi Premchand on his birth anniversary on 31st July. Shri Baghel has said that the novels are invaluable contribution of Emperor Munshi Premchand in the field of literature. Premchand was a sensitive writer who brought the sufferings of the common man to his literature. Most of his works are realistic depictions of the poverty and helplessness of the common man. He skillfully described in his literature the ill-effects of communalism, corruption, zamindari, indebtedness, poverty, colonialism.
