Divyang Girja achieved success with courage and skill

If there is courage and skill, then no disability becomes a hindrance in success, it has been proved by Smt. Mrs. Girja, who is suffering from forty percent orthopedic problem, has set an example of self-reliance by leaving her disability behind. Today she not only does electronic and photo framing work, but is preparing the path of self-reliance by teaching jewelery designing to many destitute disabled. Under her, 20 Divyangs are taking training in handmade jewelry. Of these, 5 are men and 15 are women. Due to the work being done by Mrs. Girja towards the self-reliance of Divyangjan, she has been awarded Dr. Subramaniam Award and one lakh rupees by the institution of Delhi. At one time Mrs. Girja was unemployed even after studying till 12th. He had the skills but didn’t have enough money to start the work. During this, he came to know about the Chhattisgarh Disabled Persons Finance and Development Corporation run by the Social Welfare Department, which provides loans to disabled persons for self-employment. Mrs. Girja applied for a loan of Rs. 2 lakh 7 thousand in the corporation. After sanctioning the loan, he started doing Handmade Jewelery with Electricals, Electronics and Photo Framing. Today she is self-sufficient and is walking shoulder to shoulder with her family. She is leading a happy life with her husband and son. He has successfully repaid the first loan amount sanctioned by the corporation. To expand her business, she has now re-sent a loan proposal of Rs.8 lakh in the year 2022-23. With the savings of the shop’s income, she is giving training in jewelery designing to the differently-abled at her home. She gives skillful training in manufacturing artificial jewelry from silk thread, making necklace and earrings from paddy, Nirma soap phenyl, masala.
