Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated free mega orthopedic and spine surgery and a three-day spine and orthopedic conference organized at Shri Narayana Hospital, Devendra Nagar, capital Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Baghel congratulated the doctors present on the occasion of Doctor’s Day and extended his best wishes to all the people associated with the hospital on the completion of 11 years of Sree Narayana Hospital. He appreciated the national and international achievements of Sree Narayana Hospital in the field of medicine. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored specialist doctors from Mumbai, Bangalore and other reputed medical institutions by presenting mementos. He wished for the speedy recovery of the people who came to take advantage of the free camp. The Chief Minister inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. Addressing the doctors and health workers present, he said that in the last 11 years, Narayana Hospital has done a commendable job of providing better health facilities to the needy people through specialist doctors and state-of-the-art resources. The doctors and employees here have played an important role in this success. The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is also providing free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh to the needy people of the state through the Dr. Khubchand Baghel health assistance scheme. Along with this, for the treatment of serious diseases, treatment up to Rs 20 lakh is being provided free of cost under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme. He said that every person wants to be healthy, but due to any reason, when he gets sick, better treatment is needed. In such times, free treatment facility is available from the health schemes of the government. The Chief Minister said that at present, new and serious diseases are being identified, as well as their treatment has become possible. The state government is also providing necessary facilities for the treatment of these new and serious diseases.
