Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Producer Factory Limited, Kawardha is not only an important achievement of the Chhattisgarh government in the direction of industrial development, but also a boon for the economic upliftment of the farmers of this region. Paddy has been traditionally cultivated in Kabirdham district, which is full of climatic features of Chhattisgarh, but the establishment of Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Producing Factory Limited Kawardha has changed the crop cycle. With the initiative of the government, the support price of sugarcane was increased to Rs 355 per quintal to promote the economic progress of the farmers and sugarcane production. Due to which the farmers were given strength and economic strength against irregular and low rainfall and the area under sugarcane production increased in the district. Due to which farmers are getting more profit. Bhoramdev Co-Operative Sugar Factory, on the one hand, is helping farmers in the direction of economic progress by purchasing sugarcane, while on the other hand, electricity is being produced from the residue left after making sugar. Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory established in Kabirdham district is playing an important role in international trade by supplying sugar in the country as well as exporting sugar abroad. As a result of which Chhattisgarh has got recognition in foreign countries as well. Apart from 16 thousand 922 farmers who provided capital resources in the establishment of the factory, Mandi Board, Co-operative Societies and Chhattisgarh Government are the members of this factory, through which 28.13 crore share capital was appropriated, which has increased to Rs 35.67 crore at present. Due to which, along with ensuring an increase in the domestic product of the state, employment has been provided to about one thousand people directly. Thousands of people have got indirect employment for sugarcane sowing, sugarcane harvesting, sugarcane transportation and other work, the employment opportunities generated in the factory have reduced the dependence on the government for direct employment. Managing Director Shri Bhupendra Kumar Thakur said that sugar, molasses and bagasse worth crores of rupees are produced every year since the initial period of establishment of the factory, which is a significant part of the income of the state as well as the income of the organization. Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Producer Factory Limited, Kawardha is functioning as a for-profit cooperative. In Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory, 45 thousand 200 farmers have been benefited from the year 2018-19 to the year 2021-22. In the last four years, 12 lakh 73 thousand 766.257 tonnes of sugarcane has been purchased and crushed, due to which Rs 324.27 crore has been paid to the farmers. In the last four years, 13 lakh 33 thousand 504 quintals of sugar has been produced. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the government is providing incentive money to sugarcane farmers. In the year 2018-19 to 2020-21, a bonus amount of Rs 62 crore 52 lakh 52 thousand 288 has been provided to the farmers. Due to the export of sugar produced by Bhoramdev Co-operative Sugar Factory abroad, where Chhattisgarh’s name has come to be known abroad, Bhoramdev Sugar Factory has an important contribution in the international trade of the country. 6 MW Co-Jan Power Plant A 6 MW Co-Jan Power Plant is being operated by Bhoramdev Sugar Factory in the factory premises. With the establishment of Co-Gen Power Plant, the residue left after crushing of sugarcane is being used for power generation. It is also being supplied with its own power. Bhoramdev Co-Operative Sugar Producer Factory Limited, Kawardha, for setting up the factory in record time and operating well, received the highest award of co-operative, Thakur Pyarelal Award as well as other 6 national awards respectively Bharat Gaurav Award, National Ratna Award, Indira Gandhi Has been honored with Sadbhavna Award, International Gold Millennium Award and Quality Award. Establishment of Ethanol Plant Ethanol plant based on by-product molasses with a capacity of 80 kW at Bhoramdev Sugar Factory. LPD The construction work is in progress at PPP Mor. With the establishment of an ethanol plant, molasses, a by-product of sugarcane, can be used. Its establishment will increase the employment sector. More and more people will get employment here. PDS According to the decision of the state government, sugar is being sold to Civil Supplies Corporation for sale of sugar to the ration card holder members in public interest by Bhoramdev Sugar Factory.
