Today 2129 elderly people got free treatment in Sian Jatan Clinic

Two Ayurvedic Colleges of the State, five District Ayurvedic Hospitals, 22 Community Health Centers, AYUSH Wings operated in 15 District Hospitals and 4 Polyclinics. Thus, Sian Jatan Clinic was organized in 48 Ayurvedic Centers today. In these clinics, 2 thousand 129 elderly people above 60 years of age were given free treatment. Cyan Jatan Clinic is being set up in all these centers on the first Thursday of every month. Dr. Vijay Sahu, Assistant Director, Directorate of AYUSH said that today 136 elderly people were treated in Sian Jatan Clinic organized at Raipur Ayurvedic College Hospital and 68 in Bilaspur Ayurvedic College Hospital. 60 patients were treated in Durg District Ayurvedic Hospital, 65 in Raigarh District Ayurvedic Hospital, 90 in Balod District Ayurvedic Hospital, 74 in Surguja District Ayurvedic Hospital and 41 patients above 60 years of age in Bastar District Ayurvedic Hospital. At the same time, a total of 861 Specialized Therapy Centers operated in 22 Community Health Centers of Raipur, Raigad, Balod, Bilaspur, Mungeli, Janjgir, Korba, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, Surajpur, Koriya, Jashpur and Kanker Districts, Raipur, Dhamtari, Mahasamund , Durg, Korba, Janjgir, Rajnandgaon, Kawardha, Surguja, Korea, Raigad, Jashpur, Jagdalpur, Dantewada and Kanker district hospitals, total 543 in AYUSH wing and free treatment to 191 elderly people in polyclinic Narayanpur, Bijapur, Jashpur, Rajnandgaon made available. Dr. Sahu informed that Sian Jatan Clinic is being organized on the first Thursday of every month to take care of the health of the senior citizens of the state. Special OPD and Panchakarma services will be provided to the elderly people suffering from various physical problems arising in old age in Ayurvedic hospitals of the state.
