In connection with the auction of mineral blocks, the meeting of the officers of the Central and State Government concluded.

Under the chairmanship of Shri Sanjay Lohia, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India, a meeting of officials of the Central and Chhattisgarh Government was held in connection with the auction of mineral blocks of Chhattisgarh at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, here today. Various technical aspects including the action plan for auction of mineral blocks were discussed in detail in the meeting. In the meeting, Secretary, Mineral Resources Department of Chhattisgarh Government, Mr. Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi, Director Mr. J.P. The officials of the Ministry of Mines and Geological Survey of India, State Unit, Government of India, including Maurya and officials of the Mineral Department of the State Government participated. Regarding mineral auction, officials of Chhattisgarh said that in the financial year 2021-22, 16 mineral blocks have been auctioned in 22 identified mineral blocks of the state. In the financial year 2022-23, an action plan is being prepared for the auction of 29 mineral blocks of the state and the auction of seven iron ore mineral blocks will be done by the end of this month. Shri Sanjay Lohia, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India expressed happiness over the receipt of revenue of about Rs.12085 crore against the fixed revenue target of Rs.7800 crore in Chhattisgarh in the financial year 2020-21. He congratulated the officers for completing the auction of mineral blocks, approval of mining leases and other ancillary works on behalf of the state of Chhattisgarh. In the meeting, the officials of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India requested to send the proposal to the Ministry of Mines to survey more and more mineral blocks under NMET in the state of Chhattisgarh. In the meeting, various technical aspects regarding the auction of mineral blocks were discussed and clarifications were obtained from the officials of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, so that more and more mineral grants could be allocated under the state in the coming days.
