Survey of Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Persons in Chhattisgarh is being conducted by the Chhattisgarh Quantitative Data Commission. Similarly, the population of economically weaker sections is 10 lakh 30 thousand 309, which is 3.4 percent of the estimated population value for the year 2021. The total population of the state in the year 2011 is 2 crore 57 lakh 36 thousand 032 and the estimated population of the year 2021 is 3 crore 5 lakh 74 thousand 656. To bring momentum in the survey, the work of survey was reviewed by the commission from September 2021 to March 2022 by continuously visiting different districts of the state and through video conferencing and during the visit, the heads of the local backward class society and public representatives of the district were met. Discussion was also held. Panchayat Department for survey of rural areas for online survey and Urban Administration Department for survey of urban areas was made the nodal department. One officer each from both the departments has been appointed as State Nodal Officer. Similarly, in all the districts, one district nodal officer each was appointed for rural and urban areas. For the administrative control of the survey, a committee has been constituted at the district level and at the urban area level. In which the collector of the concerned district has been nominated as the chairman of the survey committee. According to the instructions of the government, one supervisor was appointed on two panchayats in scheduled areas and one on four panchayats in plain areas for survey. For this survey, a total of 1103 supervisors for total 159 civic areas in urban areas and 4 thousand 446 supervisors for 11 thousand 646 gram panchayat areas, thus survey work is being done through a total of 5 thousand 549 supervisors. Chhattisgarh Quantifiable Data Commission was constituted for the survey of other backward classes and economically weaker persons in the population of the state. For the work of survey and data collection, survey work is being done through mobile app, a portal prepared by them with the technical support of Chips. According to the ration card of the state, online survey work is being done through this portal, mobile app, considering the available data of Other Backward Classes as target-base. Along with the survey of other backward classes, the survey of economically weaker sections is also being done through this portal as per the norms of Government of India.
