Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the works of forest improvement including the upliftment of forest dwellers have got a lot of strength due to the Narva Vikas Yojana being run by the state government in Vananchal. Along with this, better opportunities have been available to the forest dependents to move forward. Narva Vikas Yojana will prove to be a troubleshooter for the forest dwellers from the point of view of water availability in the forest areas. This scheme is being appreciated at the national level. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel today through video conferencing at his residence office in the capital 37.99 out of the sanctioned amount of Rs. 392 crore 26 lakh for the year 2021-22 under the Narva Vikas Yojna from CAMPA item. Lakh was addressing the program after Bhumi Pujan of structures related to ground water conservation. Under this, various structures related to ground water conservation will be constructed in one thousand 962 drains located in Vananchal of the state. Due to this, 8 lakh 17 thousand hectare land of the area will be treated. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that Narva Vikas Yojana is an important scheme of the government in Chhattisgarh, which works for the conservation of forests, ground water enrichment and biodiversity conservation along with tribals, forest dependents. and is directly linked to the lives of farmers. Through this scheme, the production of agriculture and forest produce will also increase in Vananchal. He said that since the launch of Narva Vikas Yojana in Chhattisgarh, massive work has been done till now. The work being done in the direction of water conservation is being appreciated at the national level. In the initial phase of Narva Development Program, Bilaspur and Surajpur districts have been awarded National Water Award in the year 2020. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that Narva Vikas Yojana also proved to be very helpful for the residents of forest areas at the time of Corona crisis. A large number of forest dwellers continued to get employment under this scheme. Today I am very happy to launch another phase of Narva Vikas Yojana. While addressing the program, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that under the able guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the Forest Department is continuously working for the development of forests as well as to improve the lives of the forest dependents. He informed that 20 lakh hectare land of Vananchal would be treated by the construction of structures related to ground water conservation from the year 2019-20 to 2021-22 under the ambitious Narva Vikas Yojana of the state government. On this occasion, the Minister of Food and Civil Supplies and Culture, Shri Amarjit Bhagat, while addressing also appreciated the Narva Vikas Yojana being run in Vananchal. In the program, Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma was associated with Sukma through video conferencing. Under this, 37 lakh 99 thousand 26 structures will be constructed in 8.17 lakh hectares of watersheds in 30 regional forest divisions, 02 national parks, 02 tiger reserves, 01 social forestry and 01 elephant reserve in 24 districts in the state. On this occasion Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, Principal Secretary Forest Shri Manoj Pingua, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi and Shri Sanjay Shukla and Shri GS Dhananjay, Shri Pankaj Bandhav from CAMPA Committee, Shri.
