During the British period, the Gariaband district came under Mahasamund Tehsil. Initially, the Gariaband district was known as Bindranavagarh tehsil. In order to expand the reach of the administrative facilities to the general public, Fingeshwar, Chhaura, Devbhog, and Mainpur tehsils have been divided into sub-tehsils respectively. Certified documents of Bindranavagarh are not available enough. But according to Janushruti and certain evidences, tribal kings have been the administrative area of ‚Äč‚Äčlandlords. Bindranavagarh and Gariaband remain the main administrative areas. The Gond tribal kings moved their capital to Chhaura in 1901. During this period, the zamindari of Fingeswar (including 82 villages of Ghat Khalhe) continued to be ruled by the Maratha rulers under Rajim. Pandit Sundarlal Sharma’s main place of work was Rajim area, which became the landlords of Sahu people in Panduka region.

The Rajiv Lochan Temple is 18 meters long and 8 meters wide and is situated on a platform about 2.5 meters high. The pavilion of the temple is 12 meters long and 5 meters wide.
