In order to defeat the demon of malnutrition and to make people aware, innovative initiatives have been taken under the name of ‘Du Piedal Suchitran Bar’. In this program conducted at various levels in Bastar district, efforts are being made to reduce the level of malnutrition in the district by adding villagers, public representatives and volunteers. Under this, along with the cycle rally in the delightful places of the district, rock climbing, water weeping, offering amidst dense forests, bonfires along with camping are also being organized under the adventure sports. During this period tribal culture, local cuisine will be displayed. Whose visitors and cyclists will be able to enjoy it. The “Du Piedal Nutrition Bar” program will include many bicycle riders from the state and abroad. The objective of this campaign is to turn the malnutrition campaign into a mass movement to make the district 100 percent free from malnutrition. As part of the campaign, various events started from January 10 will run till January 17. This week-long program is getting wide public support from all sections. This program is being organized in collaboration with Yuvodaya volunteers, Mitanin, Anganwadi workers, Panchayat and Rural Development Department. On the last day of the campaign, on January 17, the parents of malnourished children, including the residents of the village, will also be cycling in their villages and village level sports competition will be organized. The pictures of the program running from Kolleng to Kaknar under the guidance of Collector Shri Rajat Bansal are filling the hearts of those who cherish the dream of defeating malnutrition. Under the program, malnourished children will also be benefited through nutrition rehabilitation centers by promoting voluntary grants. The cycle rally will start from 6 am on January 17, which is 45 km from Chitrakote to Michnar via Mendri Ghumar-Tamra Ghumar. Will cover a distance of up to Mendri Ghumar-Tamra Ghumar 20 km from Chitrakote for children and beginner cyclists. The distance has been kept. Offering cycling is also being organized for professional cyclists via Chitrakote, Mendri Ghumar-Tamra Ghumar Michnar. Under the program, all the people of the district have been urged to make voluntary donations for public participation in freedom from malnutrition.
