To make people health conscious, the booklet has been issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in which the community has been advised to go to the health centers and protect themselves from diseases and risks. It also talks about balanced eating as well as regular exercise. In recent times during the Kovid 19 epidemic there has been a decrease in the physical activity of the people and the mental health of the people has also been affected due to fear of infection. In such a situation, the need to be more alert towards non-communicable diseases has also been stressed. Due to poor lifestyle, the chances of getting non-communicable diseases are also very high. Diabetes and hypertension are considered the most serious among non-communicable diseases. In this regard, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a booklet titled ‘Meri Health Mera Liwa’.

The Health Department has released a booklet aimed at bringing awareness to people about non-communicable diseases during the period of Kovid infection. The booklet states that the right lifestyle and food are important for the prevention of non-communicable diseases. While giving necessary advice for prevention of these diseases, it has been said that timely treatment of diseases is possible by regular screening and other hazards from these diseases can be reduced. The Ministry has advised a diabetes test if the answer to the four questions is yes. If someone in the family is having diabetes or high blood pressure, being overweight, 30 years or older, consuming tobacco and alcohol etc., the answer is yes, then such people need to get it checked. Along with this, people of restful lifestyle and unbalanced food have also been instructed to remain alert.
