A team of 22 elephants in the district has caused heavy losses. The Forest Department team reached the spot and engaged in relief and rescue work. Sources in the forest department said that a team of 22 fellows reached village Chikli, 15 kilometers from the district headquarters, Gariaband, on the way to Orissa. There they have also damaged the houses of the villagers, damaging the sugarcane crop. There is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers due to the occurrence of such loss of arms. The villagers are waking up all night guarding fear. The same forest department teams are keeping an eye on the elephant team. Forest department teams are strategizing to send herds of elephants to the forest soon.
