Youths from 8 North-East states to reach Raipur under ISYEP

Around 250 youths of eight North-East states of India will be camping in Raipur from February 1 to 6 under Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS)’s Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme (ISYEP). Besides, eight teams of eight states will have 25 team leaders. Addressing the mediapersons at Raipur Press Club on Wednesday, NYKS State Director Manoj Kumar Samadhiya said that the youths, between age group of 18 and 22, will learn the culture of Chhattisgarh apart from teaching the people about their culture.


They will present various cultural programme apart from art. Gathering of the North-East youths will be held at P S Club Royal, Mahadev Ghaat, Raipur. He said that 32 youths, each will be coming from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Meghalaya while 30 youths, each from Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.


The objective of the programme is to promote the spirit of National Integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States and Union Territories, showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either state for enabling people to  understand and appreciate the diversity that is India,  thus fostering a serve of common identity. The theme of the programme is ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat’ and Mahatma Gandhi. NYKS is organising the programme in association with Youth Programme and Sports Ministry, Government of India.
