देश की सुदृढ़ अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए मजबूत स्तंभ है एलआईसी: मुख्यमंत्री श्री बघेल

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel attended the State Level Conference of Insurance Employees Union organized in the auditorium of Anand Samaj Reading Hall, Raipur this evening. He called upon everyone to fight unitedly while supporting the movement being run by the union against the privatization/IPO of LIC in the convention. He said that the campaign being run to oppose it should be given the form of a mass movement. It is noteworthy that the All India Insurance Employees Association is opposing the decision of the Central Government to issue LIC’s IPO and push them on the path of privatization by diluting them in the name of General Insurance Corporation reform. Along with this, a campaign of mass mobilization is being run against this campaign of the Central Government across the country. In the same vein, this state level convention was organized in Raipur today. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that Life Insurance Corporation of India has always been giving strength to the country’s economy. It is a strong pillar for the strong economy of the country. In this convention, we are talking about the conspiracies hatched by the central government for the privatization of public sector insurance companies and their dangers. But our concern is not limited to insurance companies only. We are also talking about conspiracies to privatize banks and all national assets in the public sector, because all these subjects cannot be seen in isolation. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said- We know that many public sector undertakings are known for their excellent service, they are also doing good business. Despite this, the central government is bent on their privatization. If a public sector undertaking is going into losses, then its reasons should be discussed. Finding out those reasons and talking about their solution should be done. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru gave this country a strong public sector which is our strength even today. In the midst of great economic turmoil, the public sector stood firmly as the support of the country. The privatization of public undertakings will cause huge damage to social and economic justice. The insistence on privatization of nationalized banks and public sector insurance companies will put the country in great danger. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the Central Government is also keen on privatization of public assets like roads, railways, airports, electricity, coal, telecommunications, petroleum, natural gas, warehousing, real estate, hotels, stadiums. Your solidarity against privatization of insurance companies, banks and PSUs will also pay off, because this movement of yours is not only for you, but it is for the interest of every citizen of the country. Your movement is to preserve our economic freedom. Your movement is to preserve our economic democracy. Like this:Like Loading… Continue Reading
