Continuous work is being done by the Chhattisgarh government to solve the problems of inaccessible areas without electricity. Solar pumps are being installed in such inaccessible areas of different districts of the state where there is problem of drinking water. In rural areas of Dhamtari district, clean drinking water is being provided by the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) through solar dual pumps. These include Ambahar, Lilanj, Farasgaon, Mukhkot, Gatabahra, Amjhar, Khallari, Ekavari, Chameda, Karhi, Madagiri, Sandbahra, Risgaon, Joratarai etc. villages. It is the intention of the state government that through these solar dual pumps, the villagers get clean drinking water round the clock. Solar dual pumps collect water in the overhead tank using solar energy. This plant also works as a normal hand pump in case solar power is not available which is a special feature of it. It is worth mentioning that with the efforts of the government, 424 solar dual pump plants have been established by CREDA in rural areas of Dhamtari district. There are many backward and interior villages where electricity poles could not reach. Because of this people had problem of drinking water. Now drinking water has been made available in inaccessible areas by installing solar energy based pumps. These plants are constantly monitored and maintained by the field staff of CREDA, so that these plants always run without interruption. Like this:Like Loading… Continue Reading
