Art 370 and PoK are the result of Lord Mountbatten’s hided enmity with Nehru due to his romance with Edwina

Art 370 and PoK are the result of Lord Mountbatten’s hided enmity with Nehru due to his romance with Edwina

Art 370 and PoK: Mountbatten stabbed on the back of India with Kashmir interest via Nehru and Seikh Abdullah

Independence to Accession: Mohan Krishen Teng in the chapter 2 of his book ‘Kashmir, Article 370’ writes:Mountbatten had several meetings with Maharaja Hari Singh and told the Maharaja that independence of the State was not a "feasible proposition". However, he conveyed to the Maharaja that in view of the Muslim majority of the population of the State and its geographical conditions, accession to India would not be in the interests of the Maharaja. Hari Singh was shocked because he had seen what Pakistan had wrought in the Punjab and thousands of Hindus and Sighs who had escaped from death had taken refuge in his State. Accession to Pakistan was the last act he was prepared to accomplish. He refused to open his mind to the Viceroy when the latter wanted to know what the Maharaja had decided about his future. He sought a meeting with the Maharaja the day he returned to the Indian capital, the Maharaja feigned illness and expressed his inability to talk to the Viceory. Moutbatten left the State high and dry,”

Here it should also be noted that on the suggestion of Lord Mountbatten Kishmir issue was taken into United Nation by J L Nehru. In fact Lord Mountbatten wanted to take revenge with J L Nehuru for his unethical romantic relation with Edwina Mountbatten. Lord Mountbatten took this revenge by confounding the clear sighted Kashmir issue. PoK and Article 370 are the result of that hided enmity in the heart of Lord Mountbatten for her wife Edwina’s romance with J L Nehru.

At rediff.com, on June 16, 2004; Claude Arpi, the well-known Tibet and Kashmir expert, analyses how Nehru's obsession with the politics of his ancestral state eventually bequeathed a festering problem for the whole of India.

India's first prime minister passed away 40 years ago; it should be time to assess his 17 years in office. Unfortunately, historians and researchers have never been allowed access to original materials to write about Nehru's leadership during the troubled years after Independence. It is tragic that the famous 'Nehru Papers' are jealously locked away in the Nehru Memorial Library. They are, in fact, the property of his family!

I find it even more regrettable that during its six years in power, the NDA government, often accused of trying to rewrite history, did not take any action to rectify this anomaly. Possibly they were not interested in recent history!

Apart from Nehru's official correspondence and notes, government reports such as the Henderson-Brookes Report (see earlier article, The Confiscation of History) are still classified more than 40 years after they were written. Some pretend that if published it would be too damaging for India's security. It is just laughable!

As a result, today history lovers and serious researchers have only the 31 volumes published so far of the Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru (covering the period 1946 to 1955) to fall back on. This could be considered a partial declassification of the Nehru Papers, except for the fact that the editing has always been undertaken by Nehruvian historians, making at times the selection tainted. The other problem is that these volumes cover only the writings (or sayings) of Nehru; notes or letters of other officials or dignitaries which triggered Nehru's answers are only briefly and unsatisfactorily resumed in footnotes.

With these limitations in mind, it is interesting to try to assess Nehru's role in the Kashmir question. Fifty-seven years after Independence, it has remained an unsolved (if not a 'core') issue for the subcontinent.

Everything started in early 1946 when the Indian National Congress had to elect a new president. It was an accepted fact that the leader chosen as Congress president would become the first prime minister of independent India. Three candidates were in the race: Acharya Kripalani, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Patel. The working committee of the INC and the pradesh committees had to send their nomination for one of the three candidates.

Sardar Patel was easily the most popular. Everyone knew his efficiency and his toughness for tackling difficult problems. Twelve out of 19 Pradesh committees nominated him. None nominated Nehru.

From the start Gandhi had indicated that he favoured Nehru. His reasoning was that his British education was an asset: 'Jawaharlal cannot be replaced today whilst the charge is being taken from the British. He, a Harrow boy, a Cambridge graduate, and a barrister, is wanted to carry on the negotiations with the Englishmen.'

Another point Gandhi made was that while Sardar Patel would agree to work as Nehru's deputy, the reverse might not happen. He also felt that Nehru was better known abroad and could help India play a role in international affairs.

Eventually, in deference to Gandhi, Kripalani nominated Nehru and withdrew from the race. Patel had no choice but to follow his colleague 'so that Nehru could be elected unopposed.' Dr Rajendra Prasad later stated: 'Gandhi has once again sacrificed his trusted lieutenant for the sake of the glamorous Nehru.'

It is how India got a Kashmiri Pandit as its first prime minister.

I have always found it strange that a man professing to be above caste or religion agreed to be called 'Panditji.' Nonetheless, the fact that a Pandit was the prime minister made Kashmir a state different from the 500 other princely states.

Soon, the conflicting aspects in Nehru's persona came to the fore. On one hand, he was a democrat and revolutionary; on the other, he was often carried away by his 'Socialist' ideals to the point of blundering with India's destiny.

After his election as Congress president, he gave his support to his friend Sheikh Abdullah (he called him his 'blood brother') who had been jailed by Maharaja Hari Singh of Kashmir. In June 1946, he decided to go to the valley to free Abdullah. The situation was certainly not shining in Kashmir (as in the rest of India), but to take on the maharaja at this point in time was a serious mistake.

However, for Nehru, 'Anything that happens in Kashmir has a certain importance for the rest of India, but recent events there have had an even greater importance, [they] became symbols of a larger struggle for emancipation. Thus Kashmir became symbolic of the [princely] States in India.' He wanted to take on 'the autocratic and often feudal rule that prevails there.' He did not realise that the princes' support and collaboration would be indispensable during this all-important transition period for the nation.

Though prohibited to enter the maharaja's state, in July 1946 Nehru decided to defy the ban. Patel and other members of the working committee tried to dissuade him: there were more important matters to tackle in Delhi after the Cabinet Mission had come to discuss the transfer of power.

In a letter to D P Mishra, Patel explained: 'He [Nehru] has done many things recently which have caused us great embarrassment. His actions in Kashmir ... are acts of emotional insanity and it puts tremendous strain on us to set the matters right.' However, Patel, always fair, added: 'but in spite of all these innocent indiscretions he has unparalleled enthusiasm and a burning passion for freedom.' Patel, thus, pointed out the two powerful (and opposing) aspects of Nehru's personality.

A year later, hardly two weeks before Independence, Nehru still wanted to go to Srinagar. He wrote to Gandhi: 'I shall go ahead with my plans. As between visiting Kashmir when my people need me there and being prime minister, I prefer the former.' Once again he had to be dissuaded.

At the stroke of the midnight hour on August 14, India awakened to life and freedom. Unfortunately, Maharaja Hari Singh remembered the events of the previous year and while most princes signed the Instrument of Accession of their state to the Dominion of India, Hari Singh prevaricated. What would happen to him and his state under Nehru's rule? He also knew that the future of his state could not lie with Jinnah and his government.

In September, he decided to offer Kashmir's accession to India. This was refused by Nehru, who first wanted Sheikh Abdullah to be freed and installed as prime minister of the state. This was not acceptable to the maharaja.

Things came to a head at the end of October 1947 when raiders from the North West Frontier Province entered the state, killing, looting, and raping along. On October 26, they had reached the outskirts of Srinagar. Hari Singh agreed to sign the Instrument of Accession.

On the same day a historic meeting was held in Delhi with Mountbatten, the governor general, as chairman. A young army colonel named Sam Manekshaw, who attended the meeting, recalled: 'As usual Nehru talked about the United Nations, Russia, Africa, God Almighty, everybody, until Sardar Patel lost his temper. He said, 'Jawaharlal, do you want Kashmir, or do you want to give it away?' He [Nehru] said, 'Of course, I want Kashmir.' Then he [Patel] said: 'Please give your orders.'

This anecdote perfectly exemplifies Nehru, who could make the greatest speeches, but was unable to take a decision at a crucial moment. Thanks to Patel's decisiveness, troops were flown to Srinagar the next morning and the airport, the only link with India, was saved. Military operations to expel the raiders started.

Nehru's colleagues soon discovered they had made another serious blunder, a collective one. They had chosen Mountbatten to be the first governor general of independent India while Jinnah had kept the post for himself in Pakistan. At that time, it was probably easier for the Congress to have a foreigner as the head of the Dominion; it conveniently avoided having to choose among themselves. However, Mountbatten manipulated matters so well that he became chairman of a newly created defence council. Nehru did not see a problem in this: Mountbatten (and his wife) were his best friends.

But this was to have grave repercussions on Kashmir policy. Mountbatten, a British officer, was now at the helm of the executive defence machinery. British generals still serving in India reported to him. Mountbatten was not working for India's interests, but the British crown's.

Nehru's sentimental attachment to the Mountbattens deeply vitiated the Kashmir issue. It was certainly the most important factor for the failure to find a solution in the first years of the conflict.

Events took a turn for the worse at the end of December 1947 when the governor general managed to convince Nehru that India had to refer the Kashmir issue to the UN instead of conducting a military counterattack in West Punjab. Patel did not agree. But at this precise point in time the Sardar, who had so far looked after the relations with the princely states, was sidetracked. On December 23, he wrote his resignation, but was prevented (by Gandhi) from pressing for it. From that day, with Patel out of Kashmir affairs, things went from bad to worse.

In the first months of 1948, during the UN hearings, the British showed where their interests lay. The original Indian complaint was completely left aside and the Security Council began adopting anti-India resolutions.

Abdullah had already started his crusade (particularly with the US administration) for Kashmir's independence. He remained Nehru's friend till his scheming became too dangerous for India. In August 1953, he was finally dismissed by Karan Singh, the sadar-i-riyasat. Two months earlier, Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, who had been arrested by Abdullah and left without medical care in Srinagar, died in mysterious circumstances. Nehru had visited the capital of Kashmir a few days earlier, but did not find the time to call on his former Cabinet colleague. He later wrote to Mookerjee's mother: 'Indeed, I hoped that the healthy climate of Kashmir might lead to an improvement in Shyama Babu's health.'

Though in the following years Nehru hardened his position when different UN commissions (Dixon, Graham, Jarring) visited Delhi, it was too late. Pakistan was certainly not interested in vacating the so-called 'Azad Kashmir', rendering the plans for a plebiscite mentioned in the UN resolutions of August 1948 and January 1949 irrelevant.

A few days before his death Nehru sent a freshly released Abdullah to meet Ayub Khan with a proposal to have a confederation of India, Pakistan and Kashmir. The proposal was contemptuously rejected as 'absurd' by the Pakistani military ruler. It was Nehru's last attempt to solve the issue and it failed.

In retrospect, despite Nehru's love for great principles, his incapacity to take decisions in time, his inability to work with colleagues like Patel, and his friendship with individuals such as the Mounbattens or Abdullah, who had their own interests, blinded him so much that he did not further India's national interests. The consequences have been tragic and the muddle created 57 years ago remains far from being sorted out.

After AK-49, now thief of the Plaque with Savarkar's quotes at Andaman memorial should be in Tihar

While on a tour of the Andamans as the Cabinet Minister of petroleum in the latter part of 2004, Mani Shankr Aiyr political guru of Gandhi family was stole a plaque with a poem commemorating Savarkar be replaced with a plaque with quotes from Mahatma Gandhi. Savarkar had been tried and acquitted for conspiring in Gandhi's assassination. Reports of the incident paralysed Parliament and led to agitations by the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. Aiyar's remarks created confusion as well in the ruling party; the official spokesman, Anand Sharma, noted that the Congress Party did not consider Savarkar either a freedom fighter or a patriot. A few days later, the Prime Minister dissociated himself and the cabinet from that view. Are Aiyar and Sharma behaved as traitors?

September 22, 2004: In the protest of above anti-national act of the Congress Minister, defying the prohibitory orders imposed around the historical Cellular Jail, at least 107 Members of Parliament and 43 BJP legislators led by former union minister Sushma Swaraj courted arrest on Tuesday, demanding restoration of the plaque containing freedom-fighter Veer Savarkar's quotes at the Swantantra Jyoti Memorial here.

Those arrested in front of the jail gates included Ms Swaraj, former union ministers Murli Manohar Joshi, Yashwant Sinha and Satya Narain Jatiya, BJP Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Vijay Kumar Malhotra, former Rajya Sabha deputy chairperson Najma Heptulla, Mr S S Ahluwalia and Mr Kalraj Mishra. About 1000 party workers also courted arrest.

Ms Swaraj said the constituents of the present government had boycotted the installation of the statue of Mr Savarkar at the Parliament House. She said the party would continue this struggle till the plaque was restored. She regretted that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had done nothing to restore the plaque and had announced that its removal was Mr Aiyer's decision and not that of the government.

May 28, 2014: Restore plaque with Savarkar's quotes at Andaman memorial: BJP: The Centre should reinstate the plaque with Veer Savarkar's quotes from Swatantrya Jyot at Cellular Jail in Andaman Islands, removed by former Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar, senior BJP leader Ram Naik said here on Wednesday.

Naik, a former Petroleum Minister, said Aiyar, who unveiled the Jyot in August 2004, removed the plaque with the lines written by Savarkar: "Ki ghetale vrut na he amhi andhatene (we haven't embarked on this mission blindly...)".

Naik said he had written to then Prime Minister, Home Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker and also Leader of the Lok Sabha and requested them to ensure reinstatement of the plaque.

The removal of the original plaque is an insult to Veer Savarkar, he said. Aiyar had also violated intellectual property rights of sculptor Uttam Pacharne. Once a sculpture is finalised by the sculptor as per design and has been approved, the sculpture cannot be changed without permission of the sculptor.

"Can any one remove the sword from Shivaji's statue or the famous stick from Gandhiji's statue because one does not like it? Will it be wise? Is it desirable?" he said.

Naik's demand came on a day when the BJP top brass including Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid their respects to freedom fighter Savarkar at the Central Hall of Parliament on occasion of his birth anniversary.

The new Prime Minister and others offered floral tributes at the portrait of Savarkar who is regarded as an icon by the Sangh Parivar, of which BJP is a part.

Here I want to remind my article of 207: Sawarkar's IITian kin is spending life on road. Mughal begum, Lives in penury in a slum.

Arrest for predicting Stalin’s death

vanga astrologer

April 30, 1945:

Adolf Hitler lost the war on Russia. April 30, 1945 in 15 hours 30 minutes further committed suicide in the bunker of the Reich Chancellery. Nemesis caught up with the Further in 2 years and 2 months after the Vanga predicted Hitler’s inevitable defeat in the Second World War. Day prophetic prophecy prophet Vanga in official documents had been recorded accurately: February 2, 1943.

March 5, 1953

For the six months before the death of Joseph Stalin clairvoyant Vanga predicted his approaching end: March 1953. At the same time as the fortune teller would be noticed in passing: the gates to another world, where leaves Stalin, will be open to other rulers of Russia. However, neither the names of these future rulers, nor the specific dates of withdrawal in those days did not name.

There were arrests of Sri Lankan astrologer world renowned predictor Vanga of Bulgaria who predicted about the death of leaders.

Predicting impending death of Stalin cost Vanga arrest and imprisonment in a Bulgarian prison.  Vanga predicted on the tablets of history, happened in real life, when his hour struck. Generalizzimo Stalin, son of shoemaker, “the great leader of all time, died on March 5, 1953 in 9 hours and 50 minutes in the evening at the suburban state deachas in Kuntsevo.

24 September 2008 | A documentary film called Like a Candle about Bulgaria’s most famous clairvoyant, Baba Vanga, will compete in the Gandhi Panorama Festival in India between October 2 and 4, Macedonian media reported today.

The film tells Baba Vanga’s life story. Director and screen writer Tihomir Stoyanovski told the Vecher newspaper that "the film was shot during the Skrab i Uteha theatre's visit to the Macedonians [in the village of] Mosomishte", which is in Bulgaria.

This is the film’s first screening on the international film stage, the publication noted.

As BalkanTravellers.com
wrote in February, Vangelia Gushterova was known throughout the Socialist Bloc as Baba Vanga. Between the 1960s and 1980s, her alleged ability to see into the future attracted en masse socialist leaders who sought advice and ordinary people hoping for cures for disease and help from misfortune.

Before her death in 1996, Vanga used her savings to build the St Petka Bulgarska Church near her second home in the Rupite village near Petrich. The untraditional paintings on the inside were long considered to be against Bulgarian Orthodox cannons and the temple was never recognised or blessed by the Bulgarian church. Vanga herself was also not regarded favourably by the religious establishment. Both the Bulgarian and Russian Churches’ formal position was that the woman was possessed by demonic spirits at the moments of her prophecies.

* Bulgaria to Open Museum in Honour of Prophet Vanga

Bulgaria's government decided on April 5, 2007 to open a museum in honor of country's late prophet Vanga, Darik News reported.

The museum will be founded in the town of Petrich as the government announced it donated a municipal property for the cause. The exposition will include many of Vanga's belongings and many photos.

After Vanga's death, her will was found. It read that she gives all her properties, possessions, bank accounts and valuables to the state. In her will she also asked her home to become a museum.

Baba Vanga (Grandma Vanga), a blind peasant whose clairvoyant powers gave her saint-like status across Bulgaria, died at 84. Born in neighbouring Macedonia in 1911, Vanga lost her sight at age 12 in a windstorm. She claimed to derive her powers from an ancient city buried under her village in southwestern Bulgaria. Over 1 million people had consulted her, whose fame stretched across the Balkans. Many of Bulgaria's most respected intellectuals and notable politicians sought Vanga's advice,
usually uttered in a trance.

Vanga full name is Vangelia Pandeva Gusterova, born on 3rd October, 1911 in a village called Strumica, today in the territory of Republic of Macedonia. Her childhood was poor and sad, and it became even harder when her mother died. Vanga was three years old. There were difficult days for her and her father – Pande Surchev. After few years he got married again, and from this marriage Vanga has three brothers and a sister. In 1923, the entire family moved to the nearby village Novo Selo. When she was 12 years old the worst thing happened. One sunny day, Vanga was playing with her friends not far away from her home. Suddenly, a whirlwind came from nowhere and raised her in the air. After some time, people found her few meters away, lying down on the ground badly injured. Since that time Vanga was blind, but not for the pain of other human beings.

In 1925 Vanga was driven to the Blind House, where she spent 3 years. After the death of her second mother she had to go back home, to take care of her little brothers and sisters. Her family was very poor. The day was filled with work, and the night with tears. The supernatural gifts of Vanga appeared step-by-step, nobody noticed the date of their coming, but many had remembered later, how she helped her father find a sheep stolen from the flock. She simply described the yard, where the sheep was hidden. Everybody was astonished, and Vanga said that she dreamt of it. She herself noticed that she had dreams about bad events and then they became real. Her talent was developed mostly in the years of the Wars. Desperate, sad people went to her seeking a few calming words or any hint where their relatives died.

Her older brother Vasil joined a partisan party. Vanga cried and begged him not to go, telling him that he would be killed at the age of 23. But Vasil did not believe her. He went in June and in October he surrendered to the Germans. He was tortured, and then executed.

Vanga explained her extraordinary abilities with the presence of invisible creatures but she couldn't explain their origin. They gave her this information about people, which she could not transmit to them, because distance and time didn't matter. The life of everyone standing in front of her, was like a film for her, from birth till death. But to make something to change this, what was written "on the generation," was not in her power. Beyond prophecy Vanga understood, that she could heal illness, but only with herbal medicines. She prescribed washing with infusion from herbs and spices, because they heal better through the skin. Vanga did not ever say anything against mainstream medicine, although she thought that taking too much medicine is bad, because "they close the doors, through which nature restores the balance in the body with herbs."

Herbs and flowers were here favorite medicines. In the medicine Vanga made a huge place for them. But she said that people had to heal themselves only with the herbs from the country they live in. Her prescriptions helped many people. Vanga was not afraid of death. She told that there is no death: "I have told you, that after death the body decomposes, like everything alive, but a part of the body the soul, or something I don?t know how to call it, does not decompose. You talk about second birth. I do not know what it is. But what remains from a man - it's the soul. It does not decompose, and continues to develop to reach higher states. This is the eternity of soul." (part of a conversation with a theatre man)

Many witnesses remembered about the contacts Vanga made with dead people. A man asked her why she is talking about his dead mother, and she replied: "You have not taken it with you. They come on their own, because for them, I am a door to this world. When somebody comes to me, his dead relatives are around him, ask me questions and answer, and I only tell the living what I heard." Vanga never allowed anybody to seek revenge. She believed that a man is born to make good. No bad thing ever remains unpunished. It is always punished and if it does not affect the man who made the wrong, it affects his children. Vanga made prophesies of newborn or unborn children. She saw and talked to people, who died 100, 200 and more years ago. As the scientists say - this is the most fantastic of the prophecy.

Vanga talked about the future, although she did not like to. In her words: in 200 years man will make contact with brothers in mind from other worlds. She even said that many aliens have been living on the earth for years. Where they came from? From the planet, which in their language is called WAMFIM. This is the third planet from the Earth. Not so long ago, Vanga left this world. But she left a good memory of her. She died on the 11 August 1996. Vanga knew the date exactly, and before she died she said, that a gift like hers was received by a 10-year old blind girl living in France and that we will soon hear about her.

museum containing her personal belongings, documents, photographs and other objects was opened in May of 2008.

Sri Lanka astrologer Chandrasiri Bandara told an opposition meeting third week of June 2009 that the prime minister would take over as president on Sept. 9, and the opposition leader would become prime minister. It was not clear what he thought would happen to President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Police arrested Bandara to investigate the source of his prediction, police spokesman Ranjith Gunasekera said.
