Review to provide benefits of schemes under rehabilitation policy to surrendered Naxalites and Naxalite victim families

A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Collector Mr. Nileshkumar Kshirsagar regarding giving the benefit of the government’s scheme to the surrendered Naxalites and the Naxalites victim’s family under the rehabilitation policy. Superintendent of Police Mr. Bhojram Patel, Zilla Panchayat CEO Mr. Sandeep Agarwal, DFO Mr. Mayank Agarwal, Additional Collector Mr. J.R. Chaurasia and members of the committee were present in the meeting. In the meeting, under the rehabilitation policy of surrendered Naxalites and Naxal victims families, housing in rural areas, loans for self-employment, agricultural land, housing in urban areas, Nazul lease for self-employment, scholarship, job, concession in passenger fare, women and child development schemes Grant of appointment on the post of fourth class or third class on giving the benefit of and having merit in the victim’s family, providing 50 percent rebate in the amount of travel fare in buses operated within the state, 18 years of age of sons and daughters of the victim’s family. To provide higher level education and to provide free education and hostels on priority basis till 12th standard in residential schools, to provide land for farming, to provide ration card, 15.

The facilities received under the National Health Insurance Scheme will be eligible, review was done regarding providing financial assistance / financial ex-gratia. The Collector has asked to send the list of surrendered Naxalites and Naxal victims families immediately. He has directed departmental officers to provide benefits of the scheme to various departments. The Collector said that the children of the victims’ families would be given admission in Atmanand English Medium School. He has given necessary instructions to resolve the pending cases within a month. Superintendent of Police Shri Bhojram Patel informed that there is a need to construct a building for such families in the district. Which can be used when needed. Shri Patel said that the police administration is ready to cooperate for such families. 8 applications have been received regarding appointment/representation/demand/in government service of surrendered Naxalites and members of Naxalite victims’ families. Five lakh rupees will be given to three families for providing ex-gratia/assistance amount given to the surrendered Naxalites and Naxalite victims (family).
