Keeping in mind the new Delta Plus variant of Kovid-19, the district administration is fully alert. Vigilance has been increased in the border areas due to the receipt of new variants of Kovid-19 in the bordering states of the district. Collector Shri Taran Prakash Sinha and Superintendent of Police Shri D. Shravan, taking the new variant of Kovid-19 seriously, inspected the Kovid-19 test center at Patekohra checkpost, Maharashtra border. Collector Shri Sinha said that sampling of all the passengers coming from other states should be done compulsorily. Its spread can be prevented by conducting a Kovid-19 test of every person coming in the border. He inquired about the passengers who got tested there daily. Inspected the register maintained for Kovid-19 sampling at the check post. He instructed to put up posters, banners for awareness in the Kovid-19 testing center. He said that strict vigil should be maintained at all the check posts in the border areas.
The Collector has appealed to the citizens that the vaccine is a protective shield and the only way to protect against Kovid-19.
