The Collector appealed to the citizens to register for the ‘Chhattisgarh Virtual Yoga Marathon’ to be held on June 21.

Collector Raipur Shri Saurabh Kumar has appealed to all the citizens of the district to participate in the ‘Chhattisgarh Virtual Yoga Marathon’ to be held on International Yoga Day, 21 June 2021. The last date for registration to participate in the Yoga Marathon has been extended from June 15 to June 19.
Shri Saurabh Kumar informed that this time the seventh National Yoga Day is being organized by the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission of the Social Welfare Department of the State Government on a digital platform keeping in view the Kovid transition. Its link is http://jansampark.cg.gov.in/yogwithchhattisgarh/Registration.aspx. Through this any citizen can register himself. Online certificate will be provided to all the registered participants. T-shirts will be provided to the first 100 registrants of every district.
Honorable Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs will also participate in this Yoga Marathon. The participants of the Virtual Yoga Marathon will not gather in groups at any place. Participants can upload their photos, videos on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #yogwithchhattisgarh while practicing yoga while following social distancing at home or in the park or any other safe place. The time for uploading photos and videos is fixed on 21-22 June. The participants will compulsorily send a five-minute video clip of three yogic exercises (Asana, Pranayama, Bandha or Mudra) to the date e-mail internationalyogaday2021@gmail-com.

The Yoga Marathon will be telecast live on the Facebook page and YouTube channel of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission and Directorate of Social Welfare. A special practice session “Virtual Yoga Marathon” will also be organized on this occasion from 7 am on 21 June 2021 to 7 am on 22 June 2021.
