Subhadri Kranti, who has taken organic crops along with working as a Krishi Sakhi, is also associated with Kranti Mahila Self Help Group and is moving ahead in the path of progress with her hard work. A few years ago, when Subhadri did not have work, he had to face economic challenges. The work of organic farms and Krishi Sakhi through State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) Bihan not only increased Subhadri’s income, but also proved to be helpful in making her self-reliant.
Subhadri, a member of Kranti Mahila Self Help Group, has been working for three years as a Krishi Sakhi through Bihan in village Rajauli of Sonhat, Koriya district’s development block. It was his own hard work that he was successful in improving the standard of living along with making a mark as a Krishi Sakhi. He converted the amount received as an incentive to start organic garden and agricultural work. Now vegetables worth Rs 72 thousand are sold, which has earned an income of Rs 52 thousand. Subhadri informed that at present, in the form of agricultural sakhi, she is getting income of more than Rs. He earns monthly income from honorarium, vegetable production, etc. She says that by joining Bihaan, she has been able to make herself self-reliant. Earlier, due to lack of some work, financial problems were faced. Now being a source of income, she is able to make an identity among the society and family members and help the family members in times of need.
