Fisheries, cow farming, vegetable production and poultry farming facilities will be developed in all the gothanas of the district.

On Tuesday, in a virtual meeting chaired by Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena, he discussed with all the officers of the district regarding the upgradation of Gothans. In this meeting, with a view to provide new means of employment to the people from the Gothan, the Collector will make all the Gothanas a multi-activity center and develop fisheries, cow farming, vegetable production and poultry farming facilities in them. For this, he asked to construct ponds, fences, dairy sheds and poultry sheds in all the Gothanas. For this, ponds have been constructed in 178 Gothanas in the district so far, which is the highest in the entire state. To develop the potential for fisheries in these prepared ponds, the fisheries department will visit all the ponds to complete the siltation process of black soil to prevent leakage in the ponds as soon as possible and start the fishery in the coming rainy season. Will do survey work in the week. After the survey, all will submit reports of ponds suited for fisheries. Along with this, tube well mining is to be done by selecting the sites at the earliest places where water is required. So that vegetables can be produced through plantations in Gothan. Groups of Gothan will be linked to dairy products manufacturing through cow rearing in all Gothan. So that new employment opportunities can be created for the women of NRLM ‘Bihan’ self-help groups associated with Gothan as per the intention of the state government. The NRLM will provide facilities to the groups wishing to join the ethos building, papad building, manchur building, tree-guard construction etc. to make the Gothans a multi-activity center by discussing with the groups. Barriages will be developed into plantations for vegetable production. For this, an action plan will be prepared by surveying all the Gothans by the Horticulture Department.
Apart from this, the Collector asked to ensure 100 per cent payment to the beneficiaries, by resolving the difficulties faced by the beneficiaries by reintroducing the dung purchase to be done under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana in Gowthan.
