Chairman of the committee, Mr. Ramkumar Yadav said that through the committee, they are doing fish seed production and fish farming. The committee has 22 members. Fish farming is being carried out on a 10-year lease to the government ponds of the panchayat. Currently they have 05 ponds with a total area of ​​11.460 hectares. In the year 2019, 25 lakh fish seed spans were cultivated from departmental schemes. About 10 lakh fish seed stow fry were produced by mutual harmony, dedication and hard work of the members of the committee. Out of which 2.20 lakh fish seeds were stored in the lease pond. The remaining 7.80 lakh fish seed was sold to private fishermen. He got an income of one lakh rupees from selling fish seed. 40 quintals of fish were produced from the fish seeds grown in the leased pond. Which has received 4 lakh rupees from the sale. In this way, the committee earned more than 05 lakh rupees in a very short time. He is excited about the increase in income of the committee members. They have expressed gratitude to the government for promoting the fisheries business. He said that small fish traders are being encouraged under the government’s plan to do business on a large scale through the committee. This is giving encouragement to the youth who are interested in fisheries.
