Women also fight against adversity and strive to move forward. Chhattisgarh government is running several schemes to strengthen their spirit. Women and Child Development’s Mahila Kosh’s capable scheme is being vigorously promoted by these women moving forward by fighting many obstacles in life like poverty, divorce, death of husband. As a result, with the help of Saksham Yojana, 11 women of Naxal-affected tribal area of Dantewada have become self-sufficient.
With the Saksham Scheme, Mrs. Sunita Kashyap Motor Mechanic of Dantewada District, Mrs. Hemlata Rajak Boutique, Mrs. Savitri Singh Grocery Shop, Mrs. Jamdai Baghel Grocery Shop, Mrs. Laxmibai Grocery Shop, Mrs. Malika Majumdar Furniture Shop, Mrs. Mehtrin Netam Grocery Shop, Mrs. Sunita Uike Grocery The shop, Mrs. Phulana Bai Soni Hotel operations, Swati Singh textile business, Saraswati Nag cloth sewing and sewing machine work have become self-sufficient. All are earning more than 10 thousand rupees per month. A total loan of 9 lakh 40 thousand was provided to all these women through the Women Child Development Department. With which they can start business according to their interest. Now these women are becoming self-sufficient and making respectable living in the society. All the women expressed gratitude to the Chhattisgarh government for this help and said that this scheme is a boon for the needy women.
