Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan, the head of the famous Mar Thoma Church of Pathanamthitta, Kerala, died early Sunday (18 October). He was 90 years old. He breathed his last at around 2.30 am in a local private hospital due to age-related illness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over his death.
