In the virtual event Time Files, Apple introduced two new Apple Watch along with Fitness Plus and Apple One Services. These include the Watch Series 6 and the Affordable Watch SE. The Watch Series 6 is the first watch of the lineup in which the company has been given a blood-oxygen level. This watch looks similar to the Series 4 and Series 5 but the company claims that thanks to the new hardware, it gets first performance, water resistance and wireless connectivity. With this, Apple introduced the Watch SE as an affordable model.
- Blood-oxygen levels can be measured from the Watch Series 6. The company says that the Watch Series 6 can measure blood-oxygen levels in just 15 seconds. That is, the user will not have to buy an oximeter separately. Blood-oxygen level (Spo2) gives information about problems related to the breath of the body.
- Apple Watch Series 6 will now get new health sensors for health and fitness tracking, which will allow users to measure blood-oxygen level (SpO2). The sensor identifies the color of blood under the skin with the help of infrared light and photo diodes, calculating blood-oxygen saturation. Alerts the user if the blood-oxygen level drops below a reference between 95 and 100 percent.
