Construction of platforms-shades in paddy procurement centers and vermi-tanks in gauthans will be sanctioned on high priority: Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to sanction construction works of vermicompost tanks in gauthans under MNREGA on high priority. He said that the demands recieved from gauthan samitis for construction of vermi tanks should be immediate approved. Chief Minister gave aforementioned instructions at the meeting of Chhattisgarh Rural Guarantee Employment Council held at his residence office. In this meeting organized via video conferencing, MNREGA works were reviewed in detail. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. TS Singhdeo was also present at the CM House.

Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Dahria, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, School Education Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal attended the meeting through video conferencing. Chief Minister said in his address to the meeting that construction of platforms and shade in all the paddy procurement centers of state should also be completed on priority. He said that every paddy collection center of the state should be equipped with proper shade. It was informed in the meeting that construction of 4649 platforms was approved, out of which construction of 4630 platforms has been completed. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned regarding approval for construction of 5500 Gothans in the state under MNREGA this year . He informed that presently construction of about 4500 Gothanas has been completed in the state. Gothans, where self-help groups are active in conducting economic activities, should be developed as livelihood centers on priority basis, said Chief Minister. Important decision of sending proposals to Central Government regarding inclusion of agriculture under MNREGA, conducting MNREGA in urban areas, increasing wage rate under MNREGA and about the provision of 200 human days of employment under MNREGA was also taken in this meeting chaired by Chief Minister. Chief Secretary Mr. R.P. Mandal, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain and Mr. Subrat Sahu, Principal Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi, Secretary, Food Department Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department Mr. D. D. Singh,  MNREGA Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Abdul Kaiser Haq also attended the meeting.
